ESU PRSSA Chapter Attends Annual PRSA Tri-State Conference
October 18, 2016 (Stroudsburg, PA) – PRSSA members of the East Stroudsburg University chapter ventured to New York City for a day filled with networking and learning opportunities. Over 200 professionals and students attended the conference, with most coming from the Tri-State area of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Held in the New York University Kimmel Center, the conference held the theme of Modern PR: Engaging in a Digital World.
Presenters ranged from PR professionals to social media influencers and journalists. The list of speakers included Snapchat Journalist, Frankie Greek, and Managing Director of Consumer Media at Edelman, Lisa Kovitz, and Senior Publicity Manager at ABC News, Alyssa Bernstein. Industry leaders represented national and global brands and Fortune 500 companies. The diversified professionals provided valuable insights and advice for our chapters’ future PR practitioners.
Coffee and lunch networking breaks allowed students to speak with professionals about their areas of interest and expertise. Our members also enjoyed meeting members of Hofstra University’s PRSSA chapter.
